Waaa.. at last... after staying in Ipoh for almost 14 years ... I manage to visit the most popular cave in Perak, The Gua Tempurung. Visible at the North South Highway but the enterance is via the old trunk road.

Very nice surrounding, maintain well with facilities and also guide for you to enter the diffrent level of the caves of course with different charge (not free) . Manage to go to frst level only and although I paid up to the 2nd level but unable to go further.. too tired. Inside the cave steps, bridges and platforms and rest area built for easy movement of tourist. But you are not to carry tripod inside without written permission by the state authorities (thts what i was told)

Few photos to share with you

Free Mineral Water
A Car of the group had a flat tyre
Helping each other changing tyre
View all 4 photos...
After a few houses visiting friend during the CNY, I just dont want to go back home. Fingers itchy again to press the shutter. Better find a place where can shoot... shoot and shoot.

Try to call Nazri a.k.a bubba hope he is in Sitiawan and thinking of going there to fetch him to shoot anything. Sad .. he is somewhere at Negeri Sembilan. Hliew and Maxby of course cannot go. No choice have to go alone and off I drove to Simpang Pulai road to Cameron Highland.

Stop nearby the hill there and filled my empty bottles with free mineral water provided by nature. I think this undergoround water is very clean and taste very pleasant (See photo attached).

Turn back tried to do macro shooting at the upstream of Sungai Raia. Thought of catching Rajah Brooke (species of butterflies). Turn into junction met a few mat salihs stop by there for a while may be having food and for a bath after a long journey from Penang. When they are about to start back their journey one of the car has a flat tyre. See their photo changing tyre.

Manage to chit chat with to them. Quite a friendly group of Mat Salih and can talk Bahasa Melayu also. One of the talkative guy give me a tip how to take the photograph of groups of buuterflies - by urinating at a spot and wait. Butterflies like salt ... do urine taste salty??? .

I tried and also wait .... yessssss .. A group of yellow butterflies came where I urinated but only a species .. yellow butterfly.

Thanks for the tips give to me ,, Forgot to ask his name. Here are the photos dedicated to them since they are willing their photo to be taken.

Sugar Cane Plantation

Main Road in the Middle of Plantation
Another view
On 28th January 2005 I and my office staff went to Padang Besar to visit our sister Company. We went via Changloon through Chuping. Here I was fascinated with the scene of acres and acres of sugar cane. Some are beig harvested by burning and some are young.

Managed to take a few photo for sharing with those who pop in my fotopage

Padi Field - My Childhood Life

When I see padi field i keep on remembering how I was raised during that era. My family once plant rice for our consumption. The padi field was the place where I mostly spend my time after school in the evening. As a child instead of helping my mother, I got my own agenda.

I will catch haruan and sepat which is abundant in the padi field when the padi about to be "tuai" (cut) till when replanting start. Cathching the fish is the most enjoyable to me although I have to face the leeches that cling to my body even to the extend on my private part sucking my virgin blood.

Lots of this fishes can be caught and my late mother always scold me for the fish I caught because at the end she will be the one who cut and clean it and later salted it to make ikan sepat masin.

Beside that I like to trap burung ' wak wak' and the trap will be prepared in the evening and the following day going around to look at,, if any being trapped. If caught, the slaughtering will be done by my father and fried.. How nice..

If nothing done then i will catch the grasshoppers ... a lot of them ... prepare like a satay and barbeque them. The smell is so nice and of course very delicious...

Although we were not rich but I cant remember we starve. I can still remember those memorable days.... will it be able to come back

A few pictures of padi field taken lately at Bota Perak.... Kanan or Kiri .. I dont know
